Crazy Dreams...

Saturday night, I woke up terrified. I had a dream that I had Tyler on Christmas Eve and he was so tiny. They let us leave the hospital right after I gave birth and didn't show me how to breast feed. I decided to just latch him on and let him to go town. All of a sudden, he started blowing up like a balloon. Scott started screaming at me to burp him, so I flipped him over and started patting him on the back. He let out the tiniest burp and then started deflating... Then I woke up. I have no idea what this dream is to signify but I have heard of women getting very weird dreams.

I have my 27 week doctor appointment tomorrow morning. I am having my sugar test done & lets just say, I am not looking forward to this at all. I don't like being poked with needles. But I'll suck it up for Tyler. I will be in my 3rd trimester tomorrow and I can't believe how fast its going. The beginning seemed to drag but with the holidays fastly approaching, so is my due date. I'll keep you posted on how everything goes tomorrow.

Travel System

Yesterday, I went on an adventure to find a travel system that was rated high in safety and was still cute and boyish. Well, I ended up at Babies R Us and picked out a pretty nice one. I had checked online all day and read all the consumer reports about certain systems. This one was rated very high on safety and design. Its lightweight and very easy to fold down. I had looked at ones that were over $300 but after talking to people who have children, I was told to save my money and get this one. I was so excited when I got it that I had to run home and put it together. It took me 15 minutes to put together which was quicker then I thought. I had always heard horror stories about putting baby things together. This was our first big purchase for Tyler and I must say, I am getting pretty anxious. Just 3 more months and I get to hold my little man in my arms.

Nursery Update

This weekend I finally got time to put up the border in Tylers room. I must say that I love it! This room was pale pink when we first bought our house and we finally have all the girly pink out and it looks like a little boys room. Right now, we have a tall dresser and mirror in the room but no crib or changing table.

I called Babies R Us last night to find out that they no longer have that collection. It would take at least 12 weeks if we ordered it from the manufacturer but that would put us right at the holidays. I hate to say this, but I don't trust any shipping companies during the holidays. I would probably be in Labor & Delivery wondering if I have a crib or not...

Lexie & Daisy had a nice relaxing day while I finished the room. Daisy was the watch dog and Lexie laid around. Man, to have a dogs life...

22 Weeks

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Today marks 22 weeks for me. I can't believe 18 weeks left and we get to meet baby Tyler. I am feeling really good these days. I am still pretty sleepy so I am going to check with the doctor next Tuesday to see if my iron is low and what I need to do. I am beginning to get heartburn pretty badly again. I am eating between 2 and 6 tums a day. I am trying not to eat too many b/c I have heard some stories about getting kidney stones from them.

Recently people have actually come up to Scott or I asking when I was due and all kinds of questions. I am finally looking pregnant and not like I have eaten a whole pizza. My only thing is with people wanting to touch my belly. This might be the most irritating thing in the world! Now, if I wasn't pregnant, you would want to rub my belly so why do you think I want you to now???

On another note, I was on vacation all last week. It was very much needed. I spent the whole week sleeping in and helping Scott fix up the house. We never get to spend time with each other with him working nights and me working days, so it was so nice to be able to do things with him. We went to the zoo and had so much fun. There was probably 20 people in the whole zoo. But by the 2nd hour of walking around, I was in pain. My feet and back were killing me. I do cardio 4 days a week, why do I feel this out of shape? The rest of the week, we painted, did so landscaping, and put new tile in the main bathroom. We got the nursery all painted, now I just have to put the border up.
